Online piano lessons for children and adults

Learn the piano wherever you are. Piano Académie’s online lessons, based on a proven group method developed over more than 7 years, allow every student – child or adult – to progress at their own pace, at any time and anywhere in the world, at an affordable rate.

Children aged 5–16: each student plays in turn, others practise silently without headphones, progress is supervised by the teacher.

Adults from beginner to advanced: friendly groups, technique, musicality and tailored repertoire.

An effective online group method

Lessons are held on Zoom in small groups. One student at a time is invited to unmute and play, while the others mute their microphones, stay without headphones and quietly repeat their piece. Everyone progresses at their own pace, while benefiting from the group dynamic and the teacher’s explanations.

  • Groups of up to six children aged 5–16, and up to ten adults
  • Personalised guidance in every session
  • Music theory included in the children’s programme; separate options for adults
  • Enrolment possible all year round

From your first connection to your first lesson

Individual feedback, followed by time to practise

You do not have to play the same piece or at the same speed as everyone else. The teacher listens to each student in turn, identifies a passage to work on and gives a precise instruction: slow down, isolate a bar, adjust a fingering or check the rhythm. You then practise that instruction while the teacher works with another student.

Keep your microphone muted between turns, without headphones, so you can hear your own piano and the teacher calling you. When it is your turn, unmute and play. This is a live lesson with personal feedback, not a library of recorded tutorials.

Set up your instrument and camera

Prepare a piano or keyboard, a phone, tablet or computer with a camera and microphone, and a stable Internet connection. Position the camera so the teacher can see your hands, keyboard and upper body. A stable stand helps keep the view clear. An 88-key instrument is recommended; the preparation guide explains what to bring for a first lesson.

Hear the piano clearly on Zoom

The school’s existing tutorial explains how to enable original sound. Noise reduction can otherwise suppress some of the piano’s sound. Video in French.

Try a real group lesson

The trial takes place within a regular online group lesson. The teacher discusses your experience and goals, then chooses an exercise or passage suited to your level. Beginners and returning players can both take part. The current booking pages list the trial at €15. Choose an available slot and check the displayed time zone before confirming.

Schedules in your time zone

The booking calendar displays available trial slots and the selected time zone above the timetable. You can change the time zone if needed. Regular lesson bookings depend on the available sessions, your level and your chosen plan; consult the current schedule rather than assuming that every time is available.
