Soraya Bouvier Fede is the author of books on perfume, jewelry and fashion. She has been a specialized antique dealer since 1989. Like a musical score, an olfactory composition is created from a tune on a perfume organ. To describe a fragrance, we speak of top notes, middle notes and base notes. The resonances between musical instruments and scent-related sensations are numerous. This conference is a journey that will allow us to smell different fragrances and play with their musicality.
Mi-Young is delighted to open the doors of a fascinating universe to inquisitive young minds, inviting them to plunge into the wonders of “The Magic Flute”. Gregorian chant is at the origin of Western music and musical thought. This lecture will introduce us to this rich monodic repertoire, forged over the centuries in the service of the Word of the Bible. We’ll look at the earliest musical forms, as well as the first musical notations, and discover how this “traditional” and “oral” song became, at the time of Charlemagne, a truly composed song in the modern sense of the word.
