At Piano Académie, group piano lessons are not traditional collective classes where every student plays the same piece at the same pace. They are individualised group lessons: each student has their own piano, their own headphones, their own piece and their own progression.
This format, inspired by our international competition preparation programme, helps students develop autonomy, concentration and strong piano technique while enjoying the motivation of a group environment.
Each student works independently while the teacher gives personalised guidance throughout the lesson.
In our group lessons, each student works on their own digital piano and uses headphones to concentrate on their individual piece. This creates optimal focus while preserving the stimulating atmosphere of a group class.
For children aged 5 to 11, groups are limited to 6 participants. This reduced size allows the teacher to give each child personalised attention and to manage the learning rhythm of the group effectively.
From age 12, as students become more autonomous, one teacher can supervise up to 10 students. This reflects our confidence in their ability to progress more independently.
The teacher circulates, listens, corrects and gives each student the next step.
