- The courses will run from September 9, 2024 to June 21, 2025, excluding Zone B school vacations and public holidays.
- A detailed calendar is available on our web portal, which we invite you to consult regularly.
- A reminder will be sent by email 24 hours before each lesson. Please note that no email is sent to notify absence from a class.
- Registration is for the entire school year. No refunds will be made in the event of interruption for any reason whatsoever.
- Rates are set annually and packages are non-transferable and non-refundable, except in the event of relocation outside the area or prolonged incapacity.
- Payment must be made outside the classroom, by cheque or credit card, accompanied by the corresponding invoice.
- A €10 penalty will be applied to any invoice not paid by the due date, which may result in suspension of lessons.
- Invoices under €200 must be paid online.
- Students are expected to acquire the necessary equipment as they progress.
a. PIANO ACADEMIE is solely responsible for the choice of teacher.
b. Our piano school reserves the right to change the initially assigned teacher. This change cannot be the subject of a request for early termination of the course and reimbursement.
c. The school may substitute a teacher for one or more lessons without having to justify its decision.
a. No absence from a course at the school can be the subject of a request for a make-up or refund.
b. Absences due to participation in a school trip are the only absences that the school will take into consideration. The school may request proof of attendance.
c. In the event of a transport strike, the course will be organized by video call. The course cannot be postponed or refunded. The course will then be billed at the school’s video call rate.
d. The course start time must be respected. A late start to a course cannot be made up.
e. The course lasts approximately 60 minutes, but can be shortened by the teacher if he or she feels that the student has achieved the course objective. This change cannot be claimed.
f. Lessons taken at the piano school are not eligible for a tax certificate.
g. Students must come to the PIANO school 2 times a year to be checked by Mrs LEE or one of the referent teachers. This test course is organized either as a concert on Rue de Richelieu, a Master Class or a simple audition. Non-participation in this type of course is not eligible for a refund or credit note.
- Absences from these courses do not entitle the student to a make-up or refund.
- Duration of commitment : The commitment is valid for the entire school year, with no possibility of transferring to an individual course.
- In the event of a transport strike, courses may exceptionally be given by videoconference. No postponements or refunds will be granted for these courses, which will be billed at the usual rate.
- Punctuality : You must strictly adhere to class start times. Late arrivals will not entitle you to make up lost time.
- Course duration: Each session lasts approximately 60 minutes. However, the teacher may decide to end the course early if the pedagogical objectives have been achieved, without this giving rise to any claims.
- Tax certificates: Please note that courses taken at our school are not eligible for tax certificates.
- Twice-yearly assessments: Students are required to take part in an assessment course organized by Mrs LEE or one of our referent teachers, twice a year. This evaluation can take the form of a concert or a Master Class of up to one hour, held on Rue de Richelieu. No refunds or credit notes will be issued for non-attendance.
- Transition to videoconferencing: Where necessary, such as during exceptional health situations or transport strikes, courses will be held via videoconferencing.
- Fees for videoconferencing courses: Individual videoconferencing courses will be charged in accordance with the specific fees set by the school for this format. Prices for group lessons will remain unchanged, whatever the teaching method.
- Conditions for participation in videoconferencing: If a student is unable to take part in a videoconferencing lesson, for reasons such as a poor Internet connection, the absence of a piano at home, or refusal of this teaching method, no refund or credit note will be issued.
- Maintaining the course schedule: The pre-established course schedule will be maintained unchanged, regardless of the teaching format.
- Group course format: Group courses will continue to follow the original format, even when delivered via videoconference.
- End-of-year concert: Depending on circumstances, the end-of-year concert may be postponed until the following year.
- End-of-year concert: Every year, we organize a concert to mark the end of the school year, an integral part of our pedagogical approach. Preparing for this event is essential for all students.
- Participation criteria: Ability to participate in the concert will be assessed by the school. Absence from a concert does not give rise to reimbursement or compensation.
- Parental decision against participation: If parents decide that their child will not participate for personal reasons, the concert fee will not be reimbursed. This includes the cost of sheet music, tickets for parents, and other associated expenses.
- Tickets for the concert: Registration includes two tickets for parents. Additional tickets may be purchased.
- Cancellation due to force majeure: In the event of cancellation due to force majeure, no reimbursement of concert fees will be made.
- Participation fees: A flat-rate contribution is requested for each student taking part in these charity events, to cover the costs of the speakers. Registration is online on our website.

- Mutual respect: Respect is at the heart of our values. Respectful exchanges are expected from all. In the event of failure to comply with this principle, the school reserves the right to suspend the student’s participation in lessons, without entitlement to compensation.
- Course locations: We offer courses at our Bar-le-Duc premises, located at 41 boulevard de la Rochelle 55000 Bar-le-Duc.
- Parental attendance: To ensure an atmosphere conducive to learning, parents are not allowed in the classroom. Events such as an open day or a show will be organized throughout the year to enable you to appreciate the progress made.
- Security of personal belongings: We would like to emphasize that each individual is responsible for the security of his or her personal belongings on our premises. The school cannot be held responsible for any loss or theft.
- Civil liability: It is important to note that our school does not offer individual civil liability coverage for students. This insurance must be taken out by the student or his/her legal representative.
- Sanitary measures: Parents are responsible for providing protective masks, if necessary.
- Electronic surveillance: Our premises can be equipped with a video surveillance system to ensure that classes run smoothly. `However, no images are retained. We ask all students and their representatives to consent to this measure, which is essential for enrolment at our school.
