Innovative Group Piano Lessons at PIANO ACADEMIE: Autonomy and Excellence Discover a new approach to learning the piano at PIANO ACADEMIE! Inspired by our international competition preparation classes, our group piano lessons for children are designed to stimulate the student’s autonomy and increase their mastery of the piano. Each class is a mixture of individual work sessions with a teacher and exercise sessions on a digital keyboard. Rather than constantly keeping an eye on the student, the teacher gives the student the space they need to repeat their measures independently. In this dynamic and stimulating environment, one teacher supervises five students simultaneously, thus promoting an interactive learning environment. The children here work individually, as opposed to our group lessons designed for 5-year-olds. We also offer separate online music theory lessons, included in the annual package, for a complete musical education. Our group lessons represent 80% of all PIANO ACADEMIE lessons. More than 3500 group lessons were given at the school during the year 2023-2024. They are the backbone of our pedagogical approach and have enabled 100% of our students preparing for competitions to work effectively in groups. This unique PIANO ACADEMIE method encourages student autonomy, especially when practicing at home. We are aware of the additional challenge this represents for our teachers, who do a colossal amount of work during each lesson. In-depth training is necessary to guarantee exceptional results. The Registration Kit for children (€300 / €235):

The Registration Kit includes everything each pupil needs to follow the school’s courses. It includes the following items:

annual administrative fees (reduced from January 1st),
the child’s participation in the end-of-year concert,
one to two auditions per semester,
sheet music (music theory and piano) and workbooks, necessary homework,
note and rhythm games
1 Sheet music for the end-of-year concert

Online courses: the Enrolment Kit for children (€150 / €115):

The Enrolment Kit includes what each student needs to follow the school’s courses. It includes the following items:

the annual application fee (reduced from 1 January 2024),
the sheet music (Solfège and School) and workbooks required,
the note and rhythm sets

Welcome to our music school, where the piano for 5-16 year olds is at the heart of our mission. We have developed piano training programs specially designed for children, adapted to each age group for an optimal musical education.

For 5-year-olds: Musical Discovery in a Group

Lessons in Small Groups: Our lessons for the youngest children take place in small groups of three, sharing a piano for a fun learning experience.
Focus: The emphasis is on discovering the piano and singing through activities based on nursery rhymes, aimed at developing a natural interest in music.

Between 6 and 11 years old: Towards Musical Autonomy

Individual Lessons: Each student has their own piano, facilitating personal practice.
Dynamic Group: Groups of five students encourage interaction and mutual learning, often propelling children to remarkable progress.

For Teenagers: Lessons Adapted to Everyday Life

Flexible Hours: Special 7pm sessions for teenagers, respecting their lifestyle and need for independence.
Selection of Works: Scores chosen to motivate and challenge, while respecting the musical tastes of this age group.
