Open since 2016, our school’s musical awakening classes introduce children to the world of classical music at an early age.
Children quickly discover musical instruments, the great classical composers and the different styles (ballet, opera, orchestral music, …).
.
It is possible to do a trial lesson before committing to a school year. This trial class is charged at €30. Registration for this trial class is done directly online.
Adults, just like children, need to see immediate results. There’s no question of waiting 5 years to be able to play a waltz by Chopin!
Mi-Young LEE has thus perfected her learning method to enable anyone to play a major work from the classical repertoire very quickly.
How many times has she heard, “I’m too old to start,” “I don’t have time to spend two hours a day,” etc.?
The first step is to choose with the student the first piece he wants to learn to play. Here, there is no pink method or other simplified pieces.
Some also prefer to focus on a particular sport. Again, no problem. You are here to have fun. That is the main thing. Our job and our expertise are then to help you progress quickly.
Still not convinced? Take a class with one of our students at the Academy. Discuss, exchange ideas. Nothing can replace the experience of those who have gone before you!
Students are invited to give their first concert after one year! It is not compulsory, but it is highly recommended!

This excellence class, which now brings together around forty students, shows how far motivated children can progress when they are guided with precision, musical sensitivity and care.
A class built around regular work, stage experience, musical discipline and the joy of progress.
At Piano Académie, we believe that music can transform a child’s life. Since 2018, we have offered young pianists the opportunity to take part in international competitions in a stimulating and supportive environment, for children who wish to progress quickly and deeply.
Our aim is not to form a closed elite, but to give every talented, committed and curious child the opportunity to go further, while being supported with seriousness, tact and humanity.
Competitions are never an end in themselves. For children, they become a school of concentration, posture, musical presence and maturity. Excellence is built here with depth, regularity and sensitivity.
The first results of the year confirm the strength of the work carried out by our school.
Competitions are also an experience of stage presence, self-control and musical maturity. Images, videos and awards reflect the progress of our students and the quality of the work accomplished.

Thanks to these achievements, PIANO ACADEMY has proudly emerged as the leading private piano school in Paris. With sustained growth each year, we are determined to continue improving and innovating in piano education. Our mission remains the same: to provide high-quality musical education to our students and help them discover, nurture, and celebrate their love for the piano.
A different way to learn the piano: demanding, joyful and creative.
Created by Mi-Young LEE, concert pianist and recognised teacher, this exclusive method has already guided hundreds of students, children and adults alike, in Paris and online.
A piano education based on pleasure, attention, imagination and visible progress.
The Mi-Young LEE Method is built around a simple idea: a student progresses better when the lesson is both structured and inspiring. Technical work, musical expression, listening skills and motivation are brought together from the very beginning.
The objective is not only to teach notes, but to help each student enter a real artistic journey, with confidence, curiosity and pleasure.
The method is used with very young children, children from age 5, teenagers and adults. It adapts to each age while keeping the same spirit: clarity, musicality, regular progress and the joy of playing.
Piano Académie offers group lessons, online lessons, music theory, adapted sheet music and musical culture activities to support this progression.
The Mi-Young LEE Method is based on five essential principles: pleasure, visible progress, imagination, public performance and the intelligent use of technology.
Each lesson is designed as a lively, joyful and motivating musical experience.
Learning becomes more exciting when the student feels that they are moving forward.
From the first notes, students are encouraged to develop artistic expression.
Auditions, concerts and musical events allow students to share music from the beginning.
Digital materials, videos and interactive tools support a modern and effective learning experience.
The method accompanies students from the first musical discoveries to more structured piano practice.
Playful musical awakening, piano discovery and introduction to great composers.
A first structured approach to the instrument in a group setting.
Small group lessons, usually with 3 to 6 students, allowing each child to progress individually.
Collective lessons for adults, with a lively, motivating and structured approach.
Four years old is often an ideal age to start piano, provided the child can concentrate enough to enjoy the lesson.
For very young children, Piano Académie forms homogeneous groups so that every child feels comfortable during the lesson. The aim is to create a reassuring environment where concentration, musical curiosity and the pleasure of playing can gradually develop.
It is often assumed that a private lesson is more effective than a group lesson. This may be true for older students, but our experience shows that for children under 12, the group creates a positive form of emulation.
In a group, children concentrate better, find additional motivation and are encouraged to persevere when they meet the natural difficulties of learning the piano.
Children progress individually while benefiting from the motivation created by the group.
Children are often taught to play only in the central part of the keyboard. The Mi-Young LEE Method encourages each child to explore different areas of the piano. In this way, the child’s ear becomes familiar with the full range of the instrument.
A musical ear is not only something one is born with. It is something that can be educated, refined and developed through experience.
Children discover the different registers of the instrument from the beginning.
The method helps students associate sound, gesture and musical intention.
Children learn that the piano is a large musical space, not only a central position.
Exploration helps children feel more comfortable with the instrument.
Piano Académie produces its own sheet music. The pieces are carefully selected and adapted to make children’s learning easier, more progressive and more motivating.
For each semester, a volume is proposed. This allows students to follow a clear and structured progression.
Playful and progressive exercises help children quickly become autonomous in reading the two essential clefs used in piano learning.
Piano Académie has adapted the TAKADEMI method and now uses it as a foundation for learning. The school has also developed card games that allow children to learn music theory while having fun.
Interactive tools and card games help children understand music theory with more pleasure.
From a very young age, we want children not only to love classical music, but also to connect great works with the composers who created them.
We believe it is important for children to discover the lives of great composers, so that their curiosity can continue at home with their parents.
The Mi-Young LEE Method is supported by several complementary resources: group lessons, sheet music, music theory and online learning.
A motivating format where each student receives individual attention within the energy of the group.
